Creepy Alan Dershowitz, the man who claimed that sure he got a massage at Epstein’s place but it definitely was from an old lady named Olga rather than a teen-aged girl and he kept his undies on, might have broken the record for the most Jewish claim ever:
It is handy to be able to arbitrarily change the definition of a debate whenever you want and even more so to be able to throw down the “Holocaust” card to shut down a debate entirely.
It really adds a new dimension to “shut it down”.
Not even the tactic of blacks to invoke slavery and “racism” to refute basic fact-based arguments has quite the same power as the “Holocaust”. This is thanks to a media campaign that has wormed it’s way into the minds of most Americans who view the “Holocaust” as the Very Worst Bad Thing Ever such that every Bad Thing is compared to the “Holocaust” and every Bad Person is a LITERAL NAZI
Allow me to be fair. Let’s set aside the creepiness of Alan Dershowitz for a moment…
…and look at his assertion and argument.
There is no ‘genocide’ in Gaza — why the claim equals Holocaust denial
For purposes of this post we will ignore the very real questions surrounding the mandated narrative regarding the “Holocaust”. Dershowitz’s assertion is that to refer to what certainly appears to be intentional targeting of civilians via bombing, snipers, starvation and the cutting off of medical supplies aimed at either driving away the people living in what is known as the Gaza Strip or killing them outright as genocide is equivalent to “Holocaust denial”, a sweeping accusation applied to anything that denies or even questions a specific detail of the narrative.
The gist of Dershowitz’s argument is that genocide can only be used in relation to the “Holocaust”. That might sound like an exaggeration but it is not. Dershowitz doesn’t mention any use he considers legitimate for the term “genocide” other than the “Holocaust” which Dershowitz claims is “the personification of genocide”. He further claims that the goal of the Third Reich was “…the destruction of the entire Jewish race, wherever they were located”. That is a pretty big whopper but we will also leave that aside for now.
By way of comparison, Dershowitz claims that the Israeli actions in Gaza are comparable to Allied actions in World War II.
What Israel is doing is in no way comparable to the genocide planned and implemented at the Wannsee Conference of 1942.
It is comparable, though not in degree, to the hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths caused by American and British military actions following D-Day — including firebombing Dresden, Berlin and Tokyo and dropping atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
These military attacks were designed to destroy Nazism, defeat the armies that had started World War II and prevent a recurrence — just as Israel’s actions in Gaza are designed to destroy Hamas and prevent a recurrence of Oct. 7.
If anything, the allied bombings were worse: They were not directed primarily at military targets, but at civilian populations in an effort to demoralize them and to get them to demand surrender.
Before I move forward, the Wannsee Conference did not in fact plan and implement the “Holocaust”. Mostly what was discussed as I understand it was the definition of who was or was not a Jew and logistics of work camps, but not explicitly calling for “death camps”. The interpretation of this conference relies on translating statements as “euphemisms” for execution and even Wikipedia admits:
The decision to exterminate the Jews had already been made, and Heydrich, as Himmler's emissary, held the meeting to ensure the cooperation of the various departments in conducting the deportations.
Not many people will point out that the idea of the Wannsee Conference being pivotal to the “Holocaust” is wildly inaccurate and likewise many people don’t seem to understand the 2001 film “Conspiracy” which is a dramatization of the events and includes a lot of explicit talk of execution methods is just that, a dramatization.
Dershowitz claims that the actions of Israel in Gaza are not “genocide” but comparable to the firebombing of Dresden and the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those actions were war crimes and if the Allies had lost World War II many Allied military and civilian leaders would have been hung just as many Nazis were following the Nuremberg show trials. Dresden and Hiroshima were not genocidal in scope or intent but they were terrorism, actions that even Dershowitz admits were designed to terrorize the civilian populations of Germany and Japan in order to force a surrender.
To argue that what your people are doing isn’t genocide, just garden variety war crimes, takes a whole lotta chutzpah.
While it is true that the total deaths in Gaza which certainly number in the tens of thousands pale in comparison to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that isn’t really the point. No one has ever considered Hiroshima to be an act of genocide as the purpose was not to depopulate the Japanese islands but to terrorize the Japanese into surrender to avoid an invasion of Japan.
It is interesting the Dershowitz compares Gaza to Dresden and Hiroshima but makes no mention of the Holodomor genocide in Ukraine or the Armenian genocide in Turkey. It is a reasonable suspicion that he didn’t bring those up because Jews believe only the “Holocaust” is deserving of the title “genocide”. If you start to Notice other genocides, it takes away from the uniqueness of the Holocaust-Industrial Complex. Not to mention that the man overseeing the Holodomor was Lazar Kaganovich, and like many of the early Bolsheviks and leaders of the Soviet Union was a fellow Jew.
On the other hand, what is the purpose of the Israeli actions in Gaza? Reportedly something like 1,200 Israelis were killed and a couple hundred taken hostage on October 7th although how many of those killed died at the hands of the IDF versus Hamas is unknown. To be clear, Hamas is a terrorist organization and I have zero love for that group, but on the other hand many of the early “heroes” of Israel when it was still under British control were also terrorists, engaging in acts that would be universally condemned if committed by someone other than Jews.
We long ago passed the point where any but the most extreme Zionist shill could still say with a straight face that this is about combatting Hamas. No matter what the IDF does, the excuse is always the same “There were Hamas in that school/church/mosque/hospital”. No one ever asks for proof and the IDF never offers any. It all comes down to the time honored precedent of “Trust me bro”.
We are coming up on the second year of nearly non-stop attacks on Gaza that have killed tens of thousands, mostly civilians, destroyed what little there was in the Gaza Strip and has inflicted horrific human suffering and terror. Again I don’t have a side in this fight, although I most assuredly am not on Israel’s side in this case or any other case, and I don’t subscribe to “enemy of my enemy is my friend”. More often than not “enemy of my enemy is also my enemy”. Having said that, Alan Dershowitz is his usual disgusting self in his clumsy assertion that tries to silence critics of the modern secular ethno-state of Israel by linking this conflict with the “Holocaust”, alone among historical events with being unquestionable.
My response to Alan Dershowitz….
You can’t understand what true freedom of speech feels like until you stop allowing people to silence you with cries of “Antisemitism!” or “Racism!” or any of the other silly words that have only one purpose: shutting down White people that ask questions They find inconvenient. Dershowitz’s argument is so specious and presented in such bad faith that if it were applied to any other topic people would laugh him out of town but when it comes to Jews and Israel and especially in the media outlets in New York City? Invoking the “Holocaust” is the deus ex machina that defeats all arguments.
Good thing I don’t live in New York City and don’t give a shit what Alan Dershowitz thinks of me.
Let us wash our hands clean of this and pack the Jews off to Israel along with their imported bioweapons from the Middle East and Africa.
genocide in Gaza is the same as denying the holohoax meme works well for me.
