As a Christian, the only real value I place on the Old Testament is in the pictures of Jesus that it paints, so obviously that the Jews should never have been able to fail to recognize Jesus for who He was. Jesus pronounced an end to Judaism, the religious system, when their authorities attributed His messianic miracles to the power of Satan. Jews can be saved, as individuals, the same way as anyone else-- by becoming Christians. Otherwise, no dice.
And western civilization depends on the existence of Israel? What enabled western civilization until 1948? The real question is whether western civilization can withstand the existence of Israel.
