As far as I recall, I only ate at a Waffle House once (my wife and I were at a horse show in Lexington, KY, and it was 5:30 in the morning. No 2Gs in sight).

I have only eaten at WH a couple of times, once was OK, the other was dirty and nasty.
I don't think I ever have either. I ate at a "Waffle House of Indiana" a few times, and it was good. Which is a separate entity from WH of USA.

Even if you survive, the food is mediocre yet expensive, due to the "Tigger Nax."
The food certainly isn't great, you can get better at Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans and avoid the shooting or fisticuffs.
Money saved by choosing Eggos from Walmart and not buying a bulletproof vest are substantial.

It is sad but true that you can't live like a high trust society with a mixed bag of races
I would get off after everything was closed and I would call WH to go or eat in and never had a problem
