Something that I find odd when thinking about the Moscow mass shooting. Not that they chose that target, it makes perfect sense, but instead that it doesn’t happen here. There aren’t really team shootings like the one that happened in Moscow taking place here despite millions of Muslims, many highly radicalized. Our mass shootings are almost exclusively “black guy(s) shoot into crowds, kills one, wounds 10” shootings or the very rare autistic kid on SSRIs that has been groomed by the Feds into shooting up some school or something.
I think it is a matter of time. Recently, 14 shipping containers containing weapons, ammunition, RPGs, and assorted material were found in Florida. Consider that less than 1% of the incoming containers get a search of any kind, and that translates into hundreds scattered around the country waiting for a team to get the GO signal. Now add the 200,000+ illegal Chinese military aged males that came across our border with Biden's wink and a nod. Disaster on the horizon.
I think you're onto something with 'armed citizens'. Public spaces may look like a soft target but if a dozen individuals are armed the odds drop drastically for would be 'mass shooter' exiting alive.
